Dialect's Languages in Talaud Island

 B.Talaud language

Talaud language consists of six dialects namely SaliBabu, Karakelang, Essang, Nanusa, Miangas and Kabaruan. Talaud also recognizes fine, medium, and coarse levels of language. These people use Manado Malay as their "everyday" lingua franca.

Quoting from the 6 dialegs in Talaud, here are some examples taken from the Kabaruan Island dialeg and the Karakelang Island dialeg (Binalang Village):

 1.BANANA

In the Kabaruan Banana dialect, it is usually referred to as "WU, A". While in the Karakelang (Binalang) dialect, bananas are called "WUSSA".

 2.DOG

This animal is no stranger. Many people, from small children to adults, always say the name of this animal, especially when disaster strikes. In the Dialect of the Dog Animal News, it is called "AHU". Meanwhile, in the Karakelang (Binalang) dialect, this dog is called "ASSU".

  3.COCONUT

If you visit Talaud Island, you will be presented with a view of the beach filled with coconut trees. Well, in the Kabaruan  dialect Coconut it is called the word "NIUCA". Meanwhile, in the Karakelang (Binalang) dialect, Coconut is referred to as "NIU".
