First, through exploring transformational governance to enable a transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient society, members of the group study the international political economy and global politics of climate change. This includes evaluating the enablers of this transition, including multilateralism, mini literalism (diplomatic initiatives by small groups of countries) and transnational networks.
Second, members of the group study the different drives for credible implementation of and ratcheting up ambition within the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals. Through their work, group members aim to contribute to an improved understanding of key actors and their interaction and to identify key levers for and barriers to, increasing.
Moreover, we know that it's the way the Governance and all its regulation do, but climate change is a fact of life. We need to act urgently if we avoid an irreversible build-up of green gases (GHGs) and global warming at a potentially huge cost to the economy and society worldwide.
Seth Wynes, a researcher in the Geography Department at the University of British Columbia said that the important things to realize we have a lot of choice on the planet that we want. And also, whenever you can, advocate for a clean alternative to fossil fuels, such as wind, solar, geothermal, and appropriately designed by hydroelectric and biomass energy project.
