Islamic banking become entity which labeled by Sharia. Because Islamic banking operates the basic of sharia principles. These thing made Islamic banking has main difference with convensional bank. Furthermore, Islamic banking has not been able to answer the public curiousity and convince them that Islamic banking already suitable with sharia. One of the big questions is "why Islamic banking has not been able to penetrate the dominance of conventional banking and public interest, even though the majority of Indonesian people are Muslims?". The public considers that the sharia element is only limited to the additional existence of the bank itself.

The problem of fulfilling Islamic elements in Islamic banks is literally unique. Because essencely Islamic banks are clear as banks that offer Islamic products in which to carry out their business activities must also be based on Islamic legal principles regulated in the DSN-MUI's fatwa (Law no. 21 of 2008). In addition, there is a special institution that has an important role in overseeing the operations of each Islamic bank, namely the Sharia Supervisory Board to ensure sharia compliance in carrying out its activities.  This is the answer to the public issue that the sharia label is not merely an addition to the existence of an Islamic bank because all the problems that exist in Islamic banks have an answer.

Related to public perception about sharia banking. Why until now Islamic banking has not been able to surpass conventional banking even though the majority of Indonesian people themselves are Muslims, it is because the presence of Islamic banks in Indonesia is still very new compared to conventional banks that were established earlier in the Indonesian banking industry and also regarding individual choice in determining  Banking services affect the development of the Islamic banking sector.  Therefore it is necessary to further understand the individual related to the existing system of Islamic banks, so as not to assume that Islamic banks are no better than conventional banks. Even though transactions in Islamic banks themselves do not recognize the interest system as in conventional banks which is also in line with Islamic teachings that the interest system is usury that must be avoided because of its prohibition.  So let's get back to Islamic banks to make a better Islamic banking sector
