What Should You Wear to Meet His Parents? We've all been there: you meet someone, go on a couple of dates with them, fall in love, and everything is perfect until the dreaded moment arrives: meeting the parents. This'rendezvous' is not only stressful because of the pressures to say the right thing and present yourself with impeccable manners. It's also filled with concerns like "what should I wear to meet his parents?"
It is a reasonable fear, and one should not feel embarrassed or out of place when considering questions such as "what should I wear when I meet my boyfriend's family?" After all, it is one of the most common issues that young people face. Never mind that  I've already researched and prepared a list of family-friendly outfits.
A Modest Appearance: The stigma most commonly stems from presenting yourself as appropriate to fit the possibly more conservative views of someone's parents. That is understandable given the age and upbringing gaps that typically exist between generations of children and parents. However, keep in mind not to overdo it. If your natural style is not the most stereotypically conservative, don't force it. Because it may appear that you are faking something, which is far worse.
Personal Style: As with the previous tip, don't be afraid to wear something that truly represents your tastes and interests just to fit the mold you think will impress your parents. After all, it is far more interesting for parents to get a sense of the personality rather than seeing someone who appears out of place in her attire.
