Internship at The Human Resource Development (HRD) Division at PT Energi Agro Nusantara

[Mojokerto] -- One of the largest bioethanol plants in Indonesia is PT Energi Agro Nusantara which is a subsidiary of PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) X which was established as the first step of the product diversification era. PT Energi Agro Nusantara is located at Jalan Raya Gempolkrep, Suko Sewu, Gempolkrep, Gedek District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java.

The HRD (Human Resource and Development) Division has an important role in facing challenges in the field of Human Resources (HR), especially at PT Energi Agro Nusantara. Not only does it fulfill recruitment and administrative needs, but it also plays a role as a productivity driver. The HRD division is one with the HRD division because it is related to human relations and the environment.

The independent internship program of University of Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" East Java students assigned to the HRD division was carried out for approximately 2 months. The assigned student named Avril Virga Mutiara Yasmin who is currently taking the 5th semester of the faculty of engineering and sains  with the industrial engineering study program.  

In the internship activities carried out, there are several tasks in the HRD division including the employment contract system for PKWT which is divided into several daily, monthly and annual periods. The daily work period is 10 days and will be extended according to the needs of each division as well as monthly and annually. The next task is to conduct performance appraisals of employees once a year. In addition, there are tasks such as recapitulating employee attendance and leave or permission forms.

The HRD Division is also responsible for carrying out the recruitment process of new employees with several stages including preparing open recruitment announcements on social media and websites, administrative selection / file selection, written tests in the form of general knowledge and the position to be applied for, user interviews, supervisor interviews, passing announcements, contract signing, and medical check-ups.

With this independent internship initiated by LPPM (Institute for Research and Community Service) UPN Veteran East Java, students feel helped to directly face field conditions. In addition to honing independent learning skills, students can become more initiative and proactive in doing a job. The hope for the HRD division of PT Energi Agro Nusantara is to remain committed to continuing to develop and improve the productivity of its employees.
