Have you ever heard about bullying that can murder personal mentality? Bullying is one of the violence actions which often happens, especially in this generation (Aalsma & Brown, 2008). It is crucial to prevent this bullying because it is very bad impact for mental health and sosial development by adding character education in this generation through active role of schools and parents.
Bullying impact negatively that can damage students' mental heatlh. In Indonesia, almost 15% students experience varies of bullying. Such as verbal bullying. Verbal bullying is a crucial issue in the high school examined, with forms of verbal aggression that attack self-esteem and reputation being the most dominant among female students (Eustalia Wigunawati, 2025). With teacher give guidence for students about how dangerous bullying, the bullying cases in Indonesia can be prevented and can be reduced level.
Bullying also can bad impact to social development of students. The victims often feel isolated and losing self confidence. This can be demaging daily social connections (Vanderbilt & Augustyn, 2010). For example a student often become victims will tend to avoid getherings like grups work and this can make limit their ability to socialize. Here we need teacher and parents role to build a supporting environment.
Another bad impact of bullying is decreased perfomance academic students. The victims usually feel scared to go to school and lose the motivation to study (Dauglas vanderblit, July 2010). For instance the students who always get a intimidation could be skip their school because they feel stressed.
From the explanation above can be concluded thats bullying have dangerous impact to mentality heatlh, social development, academic performance. So thats why the role of teacher and parents its very crucial to decrease level of bullying through education, safe environment. Therefor the new generations can grew up.
