Haiti Urges UNSC to Create New Peacekeeping Mission to Support Its People Against Gang Violence

Gang violence has been occuring In the capital city of Haiti Port-Au-Prince left thousands of haitians under poverty and lacking supply chain,  Haiti (26/11).

Antonio Rodrigue, Permanent Representative of Haiti to the UN remarked "We kindly invite the Security Council to take this decision to meet the challenges of the moment within its responsibilities in the area of the maintenance of international peace and security thereby showing haitians that the international community remains royal to its principle of peace and security".

He urges UNSC to establish an advancement mechanism to protect Haitians for this unlawful act by such arm group by providing a new peacekeeping mission in Haiti.

moreover He bolded that if the UNSC has no concrete action to maintain peace and security especially for Haitians, his people then won't be believed anymore that the UN is pursuing the goals and stand on its principles anymore.
